Moon and I

I saw the moon in the sky
With thy got enamoured
Stupidly I tried to jump
But moon was too high

I tried climbing up hills
But moon remained far
I saw reflection in water
I jumped in and drowned

Flustered I tried to draw
The moon on blank paper
But my impression is not
Close to how the moon is

I tried to tear the paper
To many pieces and hide
But I myself got too torn
Began writing its hymns

But moon you remained
Always far to ever find
Now moon I try to leave
But you shower me light

Do forgive me my moon
For being mad like this
But without your light
I'll sink deeper in abyss
